The Richmond Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association (“RFCPA”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating and executing programs designed to improve the quality of life for people with fibromyalgia and other forms of chronic pain. The primary community outreach for RFCPA is our network of support groups. Based on Meetup.com, with four in-person meetings monthly, the support group currently has nearly 450 registered members.

Since 2009, RFCPA has been instrumental in securing proclamations each year recognizing May 12 as Fibromyalgia Awareness Day in Virginia.  RFCPA leadership has been recognized on the floor of the Virginia House of Representatives, and since 2012, RFCPA leadership has worked directly with the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association’s Leaders Against Pain Action Network to raise awareness both in Virginia and on the national level.

In 2015, RFCPA hosted their first local fibromyalgia/chronic pain awareness walk. On May 7, RFCPA is proud to partner with the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association as a Together Walk host.

Richmond’s Together Walk, in addition to the walk itself, will feature children’s activities, healthcare and other vendors, and an optional picnic following the walk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
